Providing links between SketchUp and Scratch was particularly useful and is something we will look at implementing in school in future. I have experienced using CAD software before but the depth of content offered definitely developed my skills. The ‘SketchUp’ training was very useful for myself, as DT lead. I’m going to be using Sketchup which is a powerful (and free!) tool which can either be downloaded and installed, or used within a browser (note: online use required an email sign up). The ability to follow in real time and the option to ask questions was extremely useful! As a CAD beginner, I now feel I can teach this to my Y6s and help the rest of the school get started with it!
